Pluto moves into Aquarius

It takes Pluto 248 years to circle around our solar system and travel through the twelve signs of the Zodiac. Needless to say that Pluto spends a long time in each sign, and that we, human beings, will never experience Pluto in all twelve signs.

Due to its elliptical orbit, Pluto spends between 9 to 30 years in each Zodiac sign. This means that whole generations can share the same Pluto sign in their chart. When Pluto changes signs, we experience a big shift as a collective. And that big shift happens on 19/20 November 2024 (depending on where on Earth you live).

Pluto is the planet of power, transformation, death and rebirth. The God of the Underworld isn’t scared of going into the depths to explore repressed psychological material and intense emotions. He is powerful and dares to let go of what doesn’t serve him anymore, to transform and rise from the ashes.

After all these years of patriarchal and hard-working power and transformation, Pluto makes its way to Aquarius, and will stay there until 2044.

Aquarius is very different from Capricorn. Aquarius is a rebel, it is socially conscious, progressive, innovative, and most importantly, it is humanitarian. Pluto, impregnated by Aquarius, implies advancement in technology, as well as collective transformation from a progressive and humane point of view. It means the collective consciousness will rise to a more socially conscious society where equality and freedom are more likely to have a proper place.
