Welcome to the first Full Moon of this astrological year,
in the sign of the Peacemaker, Libra.
Libra, the Scales, is THE symbol for fairness and harmony.
Ruled by Venus, Libra also creates beauty and fancies loving relationships. Libra’s shadow can turn us into people pleasers, make us indecisive and co-dependent.
Full Moons are invitations to reflect on our attitude towards the sign the Moon is in.
Questions we can ask ourselves during the Libra Full Moon:
- Do I still like the environment I live in? Does it give me a feeling of peace and harmony?
- Can I still see the beauty around me, be in awe about the colours, patterns and all it is that art and nature can offer me?
- Are my relationships fair? Is there an equal exchange?
- Have I listened to my own needs enough? Or have I been people-pleasing?
- Has indecision been blocking me from moving forward?
During this Full Moon, the Sun conjuncts Chiron, the wound. Painful events or memories might resurface and make us feel more emotional during this Full Moon. This conjunction takes place in Aries, the warrior, gifting us with an opportunity to deal with this pain in a fierce and courageous way.
Both the Sun and the Moon square Mars in Cancer, adding some fiery energy to this Full Moon. This combination might make us feel like defending family members, but disruptions and fights can also arise.
Mars also trines the Venus, Saturn and Mercury conjunction (all in Pisces), enabling us to feel compassion during the Full Moon, for ourselves, but also for our loved ones. Communication (Mercury) might flow more easily, patience and resilience (Saturn) are our allies.
Mercury left its retrograde phase a few days ago, and so does Venus during the Full Moon. When retrogrades end, the energy flows better and faster. Reflecting on the Libra Full Moon before jumping full speed again in our busy lives is a beautiful opportunity to regroup and get ready.
Happy Full Moon !
